Add Height

When styling the coffee table or ottoman, it definitely helps to add varying heights. I like to do this with different vessels and stacks of books. You can add different heights with books and then add a candle or small vase. I prefer to keep my ottoman very simple and clean, so I do not add too many different items.

Mix Materials

Mixing different materials like metal and wood keep the texture of the coffee table interesting. I like to add baskets and different greenery also. I have real plants on the coffee table here; however, I typically use faux plants most of the time.

Make it Your Own

Often I feel like we have to follow so many rules when it comes to styling our homes. However, if you like it that’s all that matters. Don’t worry about following a trend or certain style. You are the one that has to live in it and with it, so make it yours and enjoy it!
