In the fall of 2018, I decided I wanted to update our master bedroom. It needed a total refresh from top to bottom. The only thing I had really done since we moved in was change the fan to a light fixture.

When I told Matt about this he was skeptical because he knows that I like to change things so often. However, after some discussion he agreed to let me do what I wanted in the master. His only requirement was if I changed the carpet to wood floors, I would have to put a rug down at some point. He likes to have something soft on his feet in the morning when he gets out of bed. I still haven’t found the rug, but I am searching. Let me know if you have any ideas for one that would look great and be dog friendly.

I also agreed to stay within a certain budget, and surprisingly I did not go over. Homegoods, At Home, and Amazon were the main places I found items for the room. I turned to Pinterest and some of my favorite interior decorators for inspiration.
