Mantles are typically the center piece of the room they are in. Whether you are a rustic mantle lover or prefer the simple, classic look there are a few tips that I feel like can be applied to decorating any mantle.

Add greenery

Adding a simple touch of greenery can help the mantle pop in the room. I also use the greenery to add a touch of color because I prefer neutrals typically. Faux or real, you will find that adding some leaves will make the room feel more soft and inviting. I use a lot of eucalyptus in my house because you can dry it and reuse it again. More bang for your buck!

Mix media

Don’t be afraid to use different mediums on the mantle. I use cement, wood, and glass pieces to add some texture to my mantle. Metal can be a great addition as well.

Choose an Anchor

Find a piece that you really adore and use it to anchor the entire look together. I use this mirror to keep the look cohesive, even when I switch around the decor pieces.
