This year our family decided to draw names instead of going all out and purchasing tons of gifts. We were relieved because this took out a lot of the stress that can build up with the holidays. However, we did decide to stick to our yearly tradition of having stockings to open on Christmas morning. We have done this since my sister and I were little. I love the thrill of waking up on Christmas, and seeing what little gifts my parents have hid inside our stockings over night.

Matt, my sister, and I will be buying stocking stuffers for my parents. It has been a lot of fun buying all of the goodies for them. It has been more meaningful gathering all of their favorite items and putting them together for a stocking. We have all vowed not to spend too much money, because that is not what matters. We want it to be special in the fact that we have put a lot of thought into the stockings, not money.
