Christmas Gifts that Give Back

christmas home decor

Christmas time can be overwhelming, and we can sometimes forget the actual meaning of why we are celebrating. Gifts, parties, and all the decorating can overshadow the true meaning for the season. When we are shopping for others, and making our gift lists why don’t we start thinking about giving back this year. I have created a gift guide that goes beyond just Christmas gifts for others.

Gifts that Give Back

The items on this gift guide support charities that help provide donations for various non-profits. For example, the orange and turquoise sackcloth blanket provides a donation to a homeless shelter for each blanket purchased. The Alex and Ani gold bracelet gives 20% of the proceeds to pediatric cancer.

You can read below about each of the gifts and how they give back when purchased.

1 20% of all Grounds & Hounds proceeds are donated to animal rescue partners around the country.

2 For each bar purchased, a bar of soap is donated to a child in need through Hand in Hand’s partnership with the child advocacy group My Neighbor’s Children

3 For every pair purchased, one pair of socks are donated — and the proceeds from any red, blue, or white socks go directly to homeless veterans.

4 For each bracelet purchased, 20% goes to Alex’s Lemonade Stand to fund pediatric cancer research.

5 $2 from each purchase goes to Rescue City, a pet rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption non-profit in the New York City area.

6 When you purchase a blanket, Sackcloth & Ashes donates one to a homeless shelter.

7 With each candle purchased, Bridgwater donates money to provide three meals to a hungry child.

8 This necklace is made with recycled metals and gives back to other countries by providing 50 meals to hungry children in schools all across the world for every purchase.

9 Each purchase of Tatcha supports girls’ education through a partnership with Room to Read.

10  When you purchase this facial cleanser a portion of the profits go to charities that support community-based mental health efforts.
